As noted in the ad it would need new tires, inspection, and registration.
How much would that be? I know tires are relatively expensive ($100 or so each correct?). I'd reckon the inspection would be $100 or so and registration about $20? Or more?
Also would the cracked fairing be a problem?

I got a set of Bridgstone Spitfires and I think they cost me about 200 bucks Canadian (and the garage mounted them for 30 bucks.) saftey inspectioon here cost me 75 bucks, and the fairings, well, depending on how badly cracked they are, a bit of epoxy could do the trick. if no, ebay is a wonderful thing.

I would ask for some more detailed pictures of the fairing damage. He said it is secure and doesnt flap around in the wind which may indicate a really bodgy zip tie fix and may be unrepairable.Shiv wrote:So, basically, that bike is a money sink before you even buy it.
Wonder if he'd knock the price down to 1500 or so.

Zip ties are great....they keep my headlight from falling out....Mintbread wrote:I would ask for some more detailed pictures of the fairing damage.
