hey guys, wanna ask, what to do.

i signed a finance deal for brand new bike on SAT in kawi dealer, but the bike wasn't put together yet at that moment, i was supposed to pick it up today. by noon, bike was ready, but i wanted to pick it up in the evening and when i showed up, associate told me, they dropped it, handlebar got bent, they had to fix it and it would be ready tomorrow. can you belive it???

i thought, it wouldn't happen without a trouble, but that they would drop it? i've got no idea, what to do now, what are my rights, i guess nobody wants brand new dropped bike. i don't truste them anymore and as a newbie, i'll never now, what happened, what they really fixed, how much they really screwedme up...

any ideas, experience, how to deal with that? i guess i cannot cancel the finance deal, can i?

what if someone was riding it, how many miles should i expect on brand new bike?

You don't have to take delivery on a damaged bike when you payed for a new one. Require that they fix all the damage to it before you pick it up.

yeah, i know, that's for sure, 's just annoying me that they're getting all the money and i'm getting my bike late, and it's a fixed bike, not new, if u know, what i mean...

Ehhh, I wouldn't worry about it being a "fixed bike." As they should replace everything that was even remotely damaged. And damage that results from a tip is minimal. So you will have a new bike with a couple of REALLY new parts.

As for getting it a day late, that blows hard. But at least it's not a week, mine was held up almost for a week because they had to bring it in from a warehouse somewhere.

yeah, i don't really mind that delay that much, can't get sidi vertigo air anywhere anyway ))) i'm nervous, cause i'm newbie, and if there was any hidden damage, like to geometry of forks or frame, i ain't got any chance to recognize and tell them off to fix it properly...

They should fix it anyways, but unless they dropped it OFF something high there shouldn't be any damage to the frame or forks. Tip-overs mostly result in broken bars, dented tanks and frames, and busted turn signals. Aesthetic stuff.

hmmm, i'll see tomorrow, gues i'll demand to see some damage and fix report and 'll go over the bike with magnifying lens ) oh, they said, they'd tipped it from trailer. hope noone ridden it before, should the odo be on 0?

Odo should be under 5-10km.

It does not take much to unhook the connectors from the dash.
Check the tyres for wear before you bother checking the odometer.
