i am sittign at a 4 way redlight waiting to turn left. guy on a gixxer pulls upon the cross street. he is wearing a full face helmet, a white undershirt, and some basketball shorts. and flip flops.
i have seen people ride in sandals but i had never accually seen the flip flops before. he stops at the light and pops it in neutral, puts the kickstand down and puts his feet back up on the peg. he proceedes to do what looked like a drum solo on his gas tank with his fingers while he sits at the light.
the light turned green and he didnt notice for a second. he finally see's its green. grabs the clutch, puts the stand up and pops it in gear. it was hilarious. i have never seen someone soooo lazy that he cant hold the bike up at a stop light.
if all of his safety measures are like that he is definatly a soon-to-be-ex-biker

I've seen that too man. One of my friends will actually do the same thing you described, and on top of that he'll slide onto the passenger pillion!
I just pretend I don't know him...

I rode to the end of my 30 ft driveway in flipflops and shorts the other day.

Saw a guy on a Yamaha Crusier do the same thing, only at night. Just watched in amazement. Bear in mind the cruiser leans when the kickstand is down, so its not even like sitting on the bike is comfortable.
Strange indeed...

ive never seen the kick stand before...
A lot of people ride in sandals. Its not a bad thing, not as safe but for city rideing.

When I was a kid, I rode my bicycle with flip flops, but I only did it once. The reason for that is , the front of the flip flop caught the pavement and pulled back, and the ball of my foot was reduced to hamburger meat. That was at just over walking speed, I can't imagine what would happen at 30 - 50 kph banking into a corner with a sport bike and catching a toe...

The same can be said for masturbating with a cheese grater. It is mildly amusing but mostly painful.
