Woohoo valves adjustment seems good

I think I finally got those valves adjusted correctly. Bike sounds good and I can hear a faint valve tapping when I get close to the engine which is good. I couldn't ride for 3 weeks because I only got the chance to do the job once per week and messed it up the first two times. I don't know why I'm telling you all this, but I'm happy I pulled it off, I'm not the most mechanically inclined person, but I'm learning!

Anyhow, I wanted to exploit the opportunity to ask one more question. In changing my air filter oil my service manual says to use SAE 30 oil in SE, SF or SG class. Well, I believe those are outdated and I could only find SM class SAE 30 oil, so that should be okay, right? I don't really see why that should matter...

EDIT: Thanks goes to TechTMW for giving me some darn useful pointers.

I haven't pulled the air cleaner yet but this one has an element that needs to be soaked in oil. Its the oil that really filters the air I guess and not so much the fibers. What I've heard though is that this type of filter is more popular on a 2 stroke engine, but this is what I have.

Not so familiar with that. Stick w/ the manu's instructions I guess ... there is specific oil for filters but may not work for your app. There shouldn't be a problem w/ using the oil available to you though.
