Mud in Radiator

Please give me some ideas what to do about my front tire throwing up mud and rocks and its getting into the outside radiator core causing damage. My front fender on my M50 is chopped too short on the back and my front tire throws everything from the road into my rad and it gets clogged up in between the rad cover and the rad core. I thought about making a rubber mud flap but the front fender is plastic and it will look too hillbilly or nerdy looking, or maybe some window screen mesh to cover over the radiator cover. If I do nothing its going to damage my radiator that I will have to buy a new one. They don't come cheap, a new rad runs around $500

Look nerdy or hill billy like and save 500$ and the work of having it replaced. Use a mudflap.

Cover the entire radiator with duct tape..
Then just for good measure, put a layer of insulation and another layer of duct tape over it.

That should keep the rocks and mud out.
