A guy in my family offered to sell me his k2 Suzuki Katana 750. I don't really like the style of this bike but w/e I don't mind that kind of thing.
Anyways, its mint never dropped, yosh full exhaust, and 6,800 miles.
$3k even.
This woulden't be my first, second, or third choice for a bike but for that amount I'm not sure I could pass it up. I wanted a ducati but no one is selling a used one and it's so tough to find a good deal on a new monster these days... Any issues I should be weary about for that model/year?

The kats a good ride.
Though the cruiser folks tend to assume i should have sparks coming from my knees, and the squids sneer. Course they sneer at everything ....
really though, good bike. and grats.

kats are good bikes. I was in the market for one for a while. And although i think that is a decent deal, I wouldnt say its a "smokin" deal.
Personally, i'd take the 3k and get something you really want.

What style of bike are you looking for? If you are looking for a sportbike the katana is a good choice, but if you are looking for a cruiser you wont like the Katana

actually the kat is considered more of a sport tourer because its heavier then a sport bike, has a more upright seating position, and is more of a general all around general use bike that does post the numbers that actual sport bike do.
but i do agree that if you want a cruiser, dont get a Kat. Although the ergonomics are better then say, an R1, they will blow compared to an actual cruiser.

Well, like I said, I really wanted a ducati monster. However, I missed the right time to buy. I was thinking of grabbing this for a year/2 years then getting myself an S4R or a 695.
I do however enjoy the sport bikes as well. Just wanted to make sure there was no big issues with that line. Thanks everyone.
