study in who waves

So now that I'm stuck with a pedal bike I did a little experiment on a 30 mile ride today. I waved to everyone on 2 wheels.
Of 8 motorcyclists traveling in the opposite direction, 5 returned the wave.
Of 17 bicyclists traveling the opposite direction, 3 returned the wave or nodded/smiled hello.
I reach the conclusion that motorcyclists can identify their own kind even when the bike is not present. Proven scientific fact.

Ha ha - I've been waving at everyone lately - riders, scoots, cyclists, pedestrians... and all the kids holding up "Go Oilers! Stanley Cup!" posters along the roadside...

haha yeah I am bored. 80-90 degree weather on summer vacation and no bike! I'm forcing myself to excercise! It's terrible.
I lost traction in a corner a few days ago and wasn't able to recover it. Bike hit a tree.
It's just a temporary setback though, really hoping I can repair it. I love that bike I don't want a different one. Taking it into a shop to see what they recommend as replacement parts, how much it will cost to order, and to find out what's causing the rear wheel to be a bit out of line. I have a couple theories but I'd rather have a pro check it out. Crossing my fingers that the frame isn't bent

.
Regarding my little experiment: 2/2 harleys waved, 1/1 on what looked like an EX500, and 2/5 from cruisers that I couldn't identify. No sportbikes out today.
Edit: GS500 I mean. Not EX. But yeah there was a sportbike out. I'm an idiot.

that motorcycle wave gets boring, it depends what kind of mood im in if I wave back or not, maybe the wave was fun when there were few bikes on the road, now its like everybody owns a bike and its boring and a waste of time to wave, I mean it was fun to wave when you were out riding all day and you seen 2 or 3 other bikes, now when ur out riding you might see 20 to 35 bikes and you can't spend all ur time riding just to wave at other bikes. You know what I mean?

When douchebags like you obviously see me wave, but dont wave back, i usually give them the finger. They're often past me by then so I dont know if they see it or not, but I hope they do. Then I usually laugh to myself that they are so full of themselves its above them to wave. Some people take life so seriously..
On a side note Motof150, one of those people you dont wave to could be a potential customer for your business......
