Found an article in the mcn about THIS product...

Thought it was an interesting idea - certainly one of the few things that isn't readily available and thought of as "standard" kit.

What do you guys think?

Seems way overpriced.

I would question whether it does any good, need to see some tests! And whether or not it unecessarily causes pressure on places, ie doing more harm than good.

Great concept, wouldn't mind learning more about it. Probably more for serious sporters than an everyday practical application though.

I think may main concern (although they dispute it on the site) is that it looks like it would restrict movement, so doing "lifesaver" checks etc may be tricky...

Looks like it's designed more for racing then anything else.

Personally I'm more worried about a compacted spine (headfirst into something) then the kinds of injuries this will prevent.
