Is every 2003 Harley considered a “gold key” bike?

does 'gold key' just mean one i can't afford?

I see a lot of 2003 Harley’s for sale advertised with the phrase “gold key.” I was just wondering if that’s something exclusive to the entire 2003 model line or just a few bikes. I see it too often advertised to think it was too highly exclusive.

I was just looking online and I may have found my answer. I think that “gold key” just refers to an accessory package that was designed for the 2003 models. It looks like the accessory package includes: Windshield Kit, Grips, Motorcycle Cover, Derby Cover, Clutch Cylinder Cover, Gold Key, and Tool Bag.

I have an 03 FLHT....during that year they had Gold Key packages....similar to the ones to posted. Even some you could get just a gold key...in a nice pretty box. They packages really didn't sell that well from a guy I know in the Parts Dept for an HD dealer...to the point he gave me one for free.....if someone is selling a HD that is an 03...and mentioning the "Gold Key" package...they are just trying to justify their high price.......

If you are looking to buy an HD....besides looking at used...be sure to look at a new HD. It might be only a few "k" more...and it will come with a 2 year warranty...compared to buying used with no warranty from a private party.
