I'm thinking of getting new gloves with the following characteristics:
- full gauntlet style
- leather with hard knuckle reinforcements
- good ventilation for hot weather
- about $70-80 price range. (*maybe* up to $100 but it better be worth it)
any suggestions?
I noticed there is a *huge* variation in price for similar style gloves, for example:

$70 to $80 for a pair of gloves? I don't own a helmet, jacket, rainsuit, or a pair of boots that cost that much I wear $14.95 Mechanics Gloves and a floresant green tee shirt I got free from a state road worker.

you get what you pay for man, sometimes investing in good gear is worth it. Curious as to what kind of helmet you have that is under $80 though.
as for the gloves, if you want full gauntlet good gloves, 80 buks may not cut it, the Alpinestars SP-2 Gloves are semi full gauntlet at 71 buks(

though just shop around, you may have to shell out a little more if you want full on gauntlet or raceing style gloves though.

You can get gauntlet gloves for cheap if you look around. I got mine off newenough on clearence for about $50-60. They were Teknic gloves that were no longer being made, so they were getting rid of them, and JWF, Moto doesn't wear a helmet, so I hope he didn't pay anything for it
