Need help with muffler replacement.

Ive got an 06 Suzuki GZ250. I shimmed the carb needle and rejetted from a 120 to a 125. Then I popped a hole in the baffle. I got a pretty decent power increase but the hole in the baffle sounds like what it is: a hole in the exhaust.

I want to replace my muffler with this: http://www.cyclestuffusa.com/browseprod ... -EMGO.html
Heres what my stock exhaust looks like: http://www.ronayers.com/fiche/300_0365/ ... arent=6620

Is this going to be as simple as cutting the old muffler off in front of the "Y" and bolting or welding the new one on? Or is it not that easy? I can TIG weld if need be.

Thanks for any help on this.

The only pic I saw on EMGO's site was a tach. Have fun mounting that to exhaust!

Since your stock pipe is pretty much one piece and I am guessing the EMGO pipe you saw was just a muffler, then yes some fabricating will have to be done. Ideally you could cut your stockpipe and CLAMP the aftermarket can on. How good is your welding?

Why not find a exhaust that will work with no mods?

The link is fixed.

But like I said, I should be able to simply cut my current muffler off and then clamp the new one on right?

take the whole exhaust off, take it to an automotive muffler shop that bends and makes pipes, they should fix you up without much cost.
