i'd get a black or carbon fiber though once they release it here and if i got money for a full sys. i don't wanna buy just a slip-on.

I was under the impression that most aftermarket cans like that were made of titanium, which is about the same weight as a carbon fiber end can. In fact, even the cheap companies use titanium instead of stainless steel, unless you get the bottem of the barrely cheap "O Ring" can.

Personally, I'd take a carbon fibre over titanium not because of looks (I'd like to keep the stock heat shield on my bike), but because it'll have a deeper note due to the slower resonating frequencies of a non-metallic can.

Didn't you say that you like the shriek of an inline 4? You'd be better off getting the titanium one then. You can often get them tinted different colors, including black (depending on the manufacturer).

Oval twin port Blue Flame Titanium cans tinted blue or yellow are really popular for the Hornet overseas.

and yeah, i think those yoshi cans come in either stainless, titanium, and carbon fiber. and yes, titanium and carbon fiber has the same weight and durability. so it's just matter of preference since they perform the same.

Of course they sound different. What is noise? It's vibration passing through the air that impacts your eardrums, which is converted to electrical signals through the ossilation of tiny hairlike structures in your inner ear (yes, I know this is a very very elementary explanation).

So, knowing that, when you hit a metal bar with a hammer does it sound the same as say.... a wooden board? No, why not? Objects of different densities will offer different vibrations which your ears can decifer. Titanium and carbon fibre are two vastly different building materials, and as such vibrate differently and make different sounds.

Do you know what the difference between a slip on and full system is, and why one is preferable to the other?

i'll try...

the full sys replaces it all the way to the headers for better flow from a straight pipe. you get way more power gains compared to slip on.

you gain some power w/ slip-on but it's mostly just for the looks and louder sound, i don't want it, i'll just save money until i can afford a full sys. i know it's surprising isnt' it, me not going by just looks.

am i right?

also to maxmize the effect, im going to need a PCIII to re-map the FI sys.
