Anybody else feeling old?

Name something that's happened in the past year that has made you feel like the years are catching up to you. (please make attempts to not be too disgusting - thanks) If you want, state your age as reference.

For me it would be the grays. There aren't a lot, and I actually don't mind them. This is the first time in many, many years that I haven't colored my hair, and after growing out a buzz cut, I can now see all my little grays. Oh ya, and my knees are starting to creak when I climb stairs. Oh, and then there's the perimenopause. I'm 38.

Cheers,
Loonette

My joints complain about doing things they had no problem with a few years ago.

I cannot pull an alnighter without suffering, let alone do two nights* without sleep

I realised that very, very shortly I am not going to be able to keep up with 'South of Heaven' anymore...

Almost over night, I lost the desire to play drums in a punk rock band. After I broke my arm last year, I was forced to take time off from playing and I kind of realized I enjoyed having the extra time at home. Instead of practicing two nights a week and playing nearly every other weekend (and a lot of times even more than that), I found myself kicking it at home doing school work at a liesurely pace as opposed to being constantly stressed and feeling overworked.

Now I have: the time and energy in the mornings to run and work out three days a week; 6 nights a week at home with the family (I do volunteer work on a weekly basis... usually one night a week); time to read a book for leisure; and my stress level has been significantly reduced.

I haven't really enjoyed going to shows for the last year or more and I almost never go to shows unless I'm playing them. Most of the people who come to see our band, I have nothing in common with and don't really have anything to say to them.

Now I'm on a "temporary" hiatus from the band... they've got a guy filling in until they get back from tour. I don't see myself going back to playing anytime soon... I'll probably resign my position as the drummer for Muddy River Nightmare Band in the next few weeks. In some ways it makes me feel old... especially when we're playing an all ages show. However, it's time to turn the rocknroll reigns over to those who have a desire to do it. Oh... and I'm 36.

I won't talk about the aching back, sore knees and hips.

Saw Led Zeppelin IV the other day, and couldnt help but wander where my Technics turntable had gotten off to.

Arthritis in my shoulder, Grey hairs, my hair is *finally thank god i dont have to shave my head as often* falling out. I find myself wanting to yell at anyone with the word Teen in their age.

Lord god I'm 25. I'm going to have a cane and a pair of plaid pants that come to just under my armpits by the time I'm 40.

Grey hairs at 25?

I've done the whole 'when I was their age' bit.

Is it grey or gray? It seems to be both
