I thought this would be a fun topic to do in the suggestion box as people are talking about different ads on Total Motorcycle.
What ones are your favorite ones that you see on Total Motorcycle?

For me its:
The 3 flash leaderboard and rectangle box ad for Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
You have to click to see the image:
http://ad.doubleclick.net/adi/N2883.Tot ... ;sz=728x90You need to refresh it a few times to see the different versions
http://ad.doubleclick.net/adi/N2883.Tot ... sz=300x250
And this one from Allstate:
Note the above images are just pictures of what the ad looks like and are not "ads" or are clickable.
I'm also a Leaderboard and IntelliTXT ad fan as the Leaderboard ads seem to always be high quality. The IntelliTXT underword link ads are great as they don't disrupt my visual browsing experience.

since you can only vote once I picked banners but I don't mind the popunders or even pop ups per say.
I detest, catergorically detest intelliTXT. It just bugs the "poo poo" out of me.
no idea what leaderboards are?

Ya, that is a funny one. I can only image my 80's high school photos would cause some good laughs! LOL.

That's one of the reasons you don't see intelliTXT in the forums. I have the code to do it, but I choose to trade that ad revenue it wold generate to make members like yourself happy it isn't there.
I as well don't mind the popunders/up as well, at least they are out of the way and can be closed fast and easily if I don't want what they are offering.
Leaderboards are the bigger banner (728x90 pixels) and banners are the smaller ones (468x60 pixels)

i like the ones that i notice up in the header. These don't impose themselves on me when i am trying to read them. so if there is a small delay in the ad server spawning up the add and i am reading a post i have to wait/scroll away/click away and come back.

I would say banners and leaderboards would be my choice. The big thing about the pop-ups and pop-unders is that they get in the way when Im trying to read something, or click on something, and if I switch windows, the stupid popups will take your current program focus off what you have clicked on and make it the popup!!
After reading your comments in the locked thread mike, I am using IE to view this site now so you will get the revenue. Sometimes we just get caught up with the inconvenience and forget what they are for.

I would agree about the popups and popunders. I have to say those are my LEAST favorite of all ads... ok, there are the "block the whole screen ad that come down from above and you can't see behind it", but those (thankfully) are not on this site! LOL.
That is an awesome jesture to do that DivideOverflow but switch back at anytime you don't like to use IE. IE7 is coming out with features like Firefox has and I hear IE7 Beta 2 is out now, maybe they improved it?
I can understand your point about fogetting what ads are for, even if you never click on them. Hey, I'd be in the same boat as you till someone explained what they were for too and not just to inconvenience me. haha.
I'll keep killing the popups and popunders as much as possible as revenue replaces them from other ads. Hopefully one day (soon), I'll have very few to no popups anymore on TMW.

Wouldn't that be great!!
