Fangin' the Street-Rod to the Tropic!

#1 Unread post by CentralOzzy »

Put saddlebags on my Street-Rod today & after a bit of mukkin around got the job done. Sure would've been easier if I knew how to do it but I had no instruction & that's my excuse! Anyway, after that I needed a ride, so decided to Zip Nth from Alice Springs to the Tropic of Capricorn. Here are the Pix i took, nothing too exciting but WTF.

On my way up there I decided to settle in & really enjoy myself, letting the wind support my body & trying to relax into it. Not being Super Tall, I have no real trouble reading the Instrument cluster & noticed that at about 5000 RPM I'm scootin' along at 160KPH/100MPH!

Needless to say it took me no time to reack my destination!

The more I ride it the more I'm enjoying it & now I'm able to go to 5500 RPM's it's getting better all the time.

I'm really looking forward to opening her right up as soon as I get the miles up & after it's first service.

The next thing to go on my 'R' is the H-D Windscreen, this may make it esier to ride at speed without my neck feeling the pressure.

Here is the 'Rinky little' Monument that represents the Tropic of Capricorn.

Does anyone else live near the Tropic of Capricorn?

VRSCR with the new 'Bags' on which I bought for a great price 2nd hand.

That's all from me for now, so until the next ride....see ya!

I like your license plate 8)

I'm thinking of getting a wind screen too. Riding long distances (even short) I can feel my head snapping back every once in a while. When I first started it sucked, but I think my neck muscles have grown and I don't notice it as much though I know it is still happening.

1 X SIX PAKC Per side....!

Not sure of their Litre-age but it's just enough to make them useful.

Not as good as Roadking saddle bags though, oh well.
