Everything that i've read about it being a great learing experience was true - I feel like my ideas about riding have been cleaned up and i really know what to expect.

the msf was ok... didn't learn much new stuff since i've been riding the bike and spending time here on the forums before i took the class.
but yeah, i had to take it since i don't wanna do the DMV riding test.

Nope - don't have a bike yet - i won't say what i'm considering (to avoid flaming) - just that it will be my first bike in a long while (14 years) and my last was a zx-7 - although i did take my course at a Harley dealer and after being in the dealershipt for 4 straight days - they grow on you...

smart idea taking the course after a long hiatus.
as for your bike choice get what you like and can handle. Since you used to ride and were mature enough to take the course after being away, i would think that your decision should at least be fairly rational.
i am guessing Fat Boy
