new rider from the north

hey guys,

just got my class 6 last week alone with the safety course. so i am brand spankin new. i am from edmonton, AB

i didnt read up on beginner bikes before i bought one and i think i probably bought the worst beginner bike on the planet: an 04 suzuki gsx-r 600... :(

now i am kinda scared to ride the damn thing...

o wells, i guess i'll ride on the block for now and get used to it.

just wanted to drop a line and say hi. any other riders from edmonton around here?

no not really, there are so many worse beginner bikes out there.

anyway... take it easy on your gixxer600.

Welcome. Right now that gixxer has more ability than you do. Ride accordingly.

Just doing some catch up here on replies. Did you find our Edmonton Events post? Look in Here and scroll back to previous pages to see some of what we've been doing.

Hope you can join us sometime and there's a bunch of us on this forum.

Oh yeah, you can always check out Sev's Blog for pics and ride stories of some Edmonton riders too.

Now that you have your bike, get out and practise. At least you realize the power it has and will go carefully, right? That's more than can be said for some people who get the gixxer then have an immediate problem with it...
