the ninja 250 would be just fine as an urban commuter. It will be a bit down on power vs your CB750 but will have sharper handling. ninja 250s are also great lil bikes for hitting the twisties on.

they seem to be pretty reliable and have few bugs (the bike has been largely unchanged since the 80s so the bugs have been worked out ages ago)

Great bikes til about 40,000 miles. The engines burn out. (Deja Vu??)

the ninjas haven't changed much, pretty much the same bike since like 1988. I have a 97 that runs like a champ.

they can be a little cold blooded, but just let em warm up for a minute or two and you should be good to go.

very nimble for commuting, but not a lot of aftermarket luggage from manufacturers so you have to get inventive.

Decent little bike, great for scootin around the city. I borrow a buddies 250 ninja now and again until I buy a new bike. I've had plenty of throttle left at highway speeds and it gets around 70 mpg.
