We need more idlers!! Come on people, if you stay connected to the net all day go ahead and stay connected to the chat, it makes it feel so much cozier when there's more than 2-3 people in there.

Try manually typing in us.afterx.net and try port 6667, but I suggest 7000 if you can get it to work that way. Are you in the US because there's an addy for nonUS denizens.

if you have a firewall you either need to open port 7000 or connect via port 6667

All I did was download the IRC and installed it, clicked the address for the chat and the firewall asked if I wanted to run it so maybe you should allow it.
