listen to music while riding???

I know its illegal....at least down here in FL. but, I commute 88 miles each way to work and I NEED the music...if I forget to charge my battery and don't have tunes for the ride it kills me!!!

If you do have tunes...what do you listen to?......

me? I have a ton of reggae in my MP3 player....lots of Matisiyahu and some oldschool dancehall....all mixed with some rock...hehe

You know I was just thinking about the same thing today at work. I even looked for some speakers to mount on the handle bars and plug my IPod into, I found them for the nifty price of $500!, yeah I think not!! I guess i'll just chance the ear plugs...

What I listen to depends on my mood, but if im on the bike, it'll probably be :rocking: classic rock. Otherwise I listen to pretty much everthing, alternative, latin, 80's freestyle music, pop, and even a little Frank Sinatra Duets  once once in a while...

i listen for things that have fallen off my bike...and the sound of the wheels (theyre waiting til Im not paying attention and then they are gonna jump off.... I know it)

i like the sound of the wind myself...and I have music in my head....

side note...best noise I heard yesterday...engine ticking as it cooled off...

Many states have this law but have an exception for in-helmet speakers. In-ear headphones are a no-no, but you can have special in-helmet speakers for some reason...

Motocomm makes some decent sounding, reasonably affordable headsets.
