Need Help - Any CBR600 riders out there? - Tire Question

I'm in the process of replacing the rear tire(160/60-17) on my '98 F3 with a 170/60-17. Anyone know if this will cause a problem? I looked at my 160 last night and looks like the clearance between the chain and the tire could be cutting it close with the 170. Anyone currently running a 170 on there CBR600F3(I assume F1 and F2 to be the same also?).
Thanks in advance for any insights...

The F3 has a 5" wide rear wheel - a 170 will fit fine. Many people swap the F3 rear wheel onto the Suzuki SV650 for the 5" wide rear wheel. I'm personally fine w/ the faster turn in of the 160 section rear.

not much difference between a 160 and 170. I would just stick with the 160.
I have a 160/60-17 Metzler M1 on the back of my bandit and love it.
going from the 160/60-17 to a 170/60-17 will throw your cruising RPMs off and may cause your speedometer to read slow.
I did swap out to a wider tire on my bandit. Stock was a 150/70-17, the jump to a 160/60-17 had no real effect on RPMs because I went to a lower profile tire and therefore kept the same tire height. I plan on doing the same to the front (going from 110/70-17 to 120/60-17). the new sizes are identical to the sizes on the SV650 and is a pretty common upgrade for the bandit 600.
