advance timing
K&N air and oil filters
jet kit

it was blowind oil out the air box the other day. would i use a heaver oil to help that like 15w-50? it was only leaking because i floged the dodo out of it. its stoped leaking now

Those mods will be of little benefit around town. I have a 1200 Bandit with a stage III jetkit K&N's and a 5 degree ignition advance and I lost some power down low and in the midrange but now have bucketloads up top.[/list]

Umm, err, most bikes only "blow oil out the airbox" when you've OVERFILLED the oil.

Careful now, the last time I made a comment like that I was called a racist. I'm not sure how they came up with that logic, but they somehow did.

The crankcase breather hose runs into the airbox so hot air, moisture and small amounts of oil end up in the airbox as well. There is usually a drain hose which exits the airbox to get rid of accumulated oil etc but if this is blocked the excess oil will just sit around inside.

The ignition advance makes a very small difference to the bikes performance. It improves throttle response slightly and just seems to smooth things out a bit.

Oil should not be forcibly ejected from the engine no matter what the weight.

Yeah, it is a real helmet. It is a Simpson Bandit with a custom paint job.
