Yeah, clearly Zoot is refering to the thread on this board where someone said "everyone refers to bikes as either a Harleys or Ninjas". It is not quite so universal though, but I've definatly spent a lot of time explaining my bike after someone threw "crotch rocket" at me. If they are not bike savy, they may never understand.-Holiday wrote:i think its a joke referring to when people not in the know refer to every crotch rocket as a ninja and every cruiser as a harley.
im still trying to figure out which two would be called ninja's though...
Allowing more air into the engine allows me to squirt more fuel on the fire, too. So, yes, it adds more power. The stock intake on the Vulcan 1500/1600 is mighty restrictive from the factory, so opening up the air intake is key to unlocking ponies.zarakand wrote:Pardon the daft question, but what do duel air intakes do? Do they mainly allow more power to bike?
The Suzy is from the pre-cruiser era when a factory would take a standard UJM add a stepped seat, and pullback bars and call it something else. Kawaski called them LTDs and Yamaha called them Specials. I think Suzuki used the GL prefix and Honda called them Customs.scanevalexec wrote:[
After he told me he took the picture I thought, wow, I'd have a hard time nailing those labels on these bikes. T-bonee's bike (the Suzuki) could be thought of as a cruiser by those who don't know bikes well, but its lineage is more like a standard, so sportsbike.
