Adjusting The Clutch?

Hey,
Today while I was riding, I noticed that the clutch was just out of reach. I can grab it but it seems like I'm really having to reach for it. The knob is already as far as it will go to bring it closer. Is there another way that I can bring the clutch closer?
Thank you in advance for any and all help.
PS. - I have no motorcycle mechanical/maintenance skills. So if there is a way, can you explain it like you were talking to a 1st grader...lol? Thanks.

did you check and make sure that it was sitting in the right place on the handle bars,, if it isnt properly tightned it will move and will cause it to be farther away, go see if its as close as you can get it to the grip and tighten it, or before tightning see if you can fine tune it to fix the problem

Thanks MakeCarsStandSTill.
I did the once/twice over on her and nothing is loose and it seems like everything is where it's supposed to be. Oh well. I will read the manual again and see if I missed something. Thanks again.
Peace out...

is it a cable actuated clutch or a hydraulic clutch? the cable ones you can normally adjust. it should have a something that you can loosen to move the clutch lever.
mine is a hydraulic clutch and I can't adjust it so I can't be much help. Have you posed the question in a suzuki forum? they may be more help since it'll be model specific.

you "could" take a torch and heat up the lever and bend it to a better position for you...not sure how recommended that would be and you would have to be careful not to get too crazy with the heat.
maybe swing by a bike shop and pick the parts guy's brain, there might be a more adjustable after market one out there

Thank you sharpmagna. It is cable actuated and has no more room for adjustment. It's all good. No worries. I'm still having a great time just messing around with the bike learning new things.

Great idea. If I only had a blow torch...lol. Saturday she is going to a shop. If there is anybody in the Houston, Texas area that knows of a reputable mechanic, please let me know. Thank you!
Thanks again sharpmagna and bok. I really do appreciate your time. Peace...
