Returning Rider with New Bike

Greetings.

Well, I'm 44 and returning to motorcycling after 20+ years when I rode in college.

I'm an engine engineer for the powertrain division of a major heavy truck manufacturer and my daily commute is 100-150 miles round trip up the interstate between Winchester, VA and Hagerstown, MD. Just bought a 1999 Triumph Trophy 1200 from a friend at work in order to save gas (not really, but it sounds like the responsible thing to say).

Got a good deal on the bike since it's not running at the moment, so I'll be kibitzing over in the troubleshooting area in order to get the bike cranked up ASAP. Stop by and let me know if you've got ideas.

Look forward to seein' y'all.

Thanks CentralOzHOG, but if it were running, it would be too expensive and I wouldn't be able to get the money away from my wife

Anyway, I'm not too worried about it. Fixin' it will be half (OK, maybe 5%) of the fun.
