bike dying w/ choke high, dying @ higher rpm, dying at stops

okay, so i have a gixxer 600, 1997. the bike was having problems with the kickstand falling a little bit so the safety switch was killing the engine every 10 seconds. me and my friend fixed the kickstand and then it was gravy but now i ride and the bike has a new problem (it may be related to the fact that my friend dropped it yesterday @ 0mph) -

the bike hesitates at high rpms once the bike has warmed up. when i downshift its fine but when i come to a stop sometimes it dies. when i am in neutral i can rev the hell out of the bike but if i turn up the choke the bike dies. i think it might be spark plugs, or fuel pump, or maybe bike isnt getting enough air? the intakes look fine. all wires and hoses are attached.

please help

thanks in advance everyone!

Of course the bike will shut off if you use the choke when it is warm.
Has the bike sat for awhile without being run? If so, probably need the carbs cleaned.
Changing the plugs is never a bad idea. What condition is your air filter?

the air filter is terrible... the bike dies with the choke on at all whether the engine is hot or cold...

its hopefully the spark plugs... i opened up the bike today and see how it ran without the air filter - it doesnt make a difference, so its obviously getting enough air. i am in the process of replacing the plugs but i cant get a freaking wrench to fit them.

if its not the spark plugs does that mean that it has to be the carb or could it be something else?

I had a similar problem with my previous bike (Suzuki RF900). I pulled all 4 carbs and cleaned them out as well as replace the plugs...it ran just fine after that.

Might want to give those carbs a look.
