Because I wear a helmet?

Odd experience tonight...
I'm kicked back relaxing and getting ready to watch some fireworks at the local venue when a group of sport bikes pull up and park. All 3 guys on their Ninja's (yes, actual ninjas) were wearing a jacket to match the paint job and a backwards hat, each bike was also decorated with an attractive blonde...fairly common sight in a college town. The kids walk past me and one looks at my helmet sitting on the ground and says "you wear a helmet in town...that's pretty g*y." and walks off.
I've been riding for several years now and I can honestly say that was a first for me. I was stunned that a kid just made fun of me for protecting myself. I'm still a little set back at that whole deal. Oh well...one of these days I'm sure I'll be happy I have it...and one of these he'll wish he did.

Helmets are a lot like condoms...it's better to have one and not need it, than need one and not have it.
