Boss out of town, time to play! Went off on the first leg of the Kawasaki Motorcycle Forums Red Lodge 2006 get-together with a friend and his posse from all over the States and Canada.
Shady characters:

Boo construction!

Got a nice shot out of it, though.

Last gas for almost 80 miles before the 77 miles of goodness:

A couple on an older Yamaha cruiser with a trailer said it was pissing down rain on the pass, so everyone does the rain gear dance (except the guy with the space-aged textile suit):

Made it to Lolo, MT!

6:30 AM local time the next day:

The group takes off to Red Lodge, MT and I seperate. I head up to Polson, MT where a friend lives, who I haven't seen in at least four years. Ran into some serious construction, but the scenery was nice:

By the way why does it smell like burning concrete?

.... oh.
Friend's place on Flathead Lake:

Blast off after cramming in four years of catching up in an hour or so, to Paradise, MT, where there was a nice intersection:

I hit the super-slab on the way back. Speed limit of 75 MPH for I-90 and flow speed was about 90 MPH (indicated). Made good time there! Still had a minimum of 45 MPG and a high of 55 MPG during those 90 MPH+ legs. Total mileage for today was 350 or 370, forgot which.
So tired now, and I get to drive 300 miles back to Seattle in 30 minutes or so. Yay.
