I bought an 82 Maxim that had been sitting for sometime. It ran when parked, so I knew that I needed to clean the carbs. I have done that... seems that I have done it properly because I turn it over, pull the plugs and they are wet. Cleaned them off because they were black showing me that it ran rich @ one time. I have some automotive background, so I know that where there is fuel and spark it should go bang.
For some reason it will not. Checked the spark, seems good.
Could it have something to do with the adjustment screws on top of the carbs, as I reset them when cleaning. If so....where should they be set?
Not knowledgable on bikes at all.....
I had no key when I bought it, but figured out how to get power to get where I am now, which seems no where further than I was.
I read other posts and it seems that everything is good, but apparently not. I think that it's something simple, just can't put my finger on it.
Does anyone have any idea what simple thing it might be.
Thxs in advance!

It runs
I figured it out and it was actually pretty simple......bought 2 new spark plugs which amounted to a whole $6. Put them in and away she went!
