So I started work again and there is a guy that also works there that rides. He has a green Ninja ZX9R. It is a nice machine. Anyways I was pulling out of work today and he followed me out of the parking lot. I turned onto the highway and got up to a safe speed of around 70 MPH. I then saw a green streak that was on one wheel blow by me like I was standing still. I jsut dont understand why people have to do stuff like that and put themselvs and their rides in danger.

it's for the thrill. stunt riders like the thrill and showing off.
i don't care if they do that as long as im not in a group ride w/ them.
ask him for tips though... that means he has a good throttle control and balance to pull that off.

No that is ok. I dont need to be doing anything like that yet. I need to learn how to ride first.

nope, i don't mean wheelies... ask for tips about riding in general, i doubt stunting is all he's good at.

I dont trust that guy. I have been told that he only knows two speeds. Full throttle and stopped. There is another guy that rides where I work. He has been riding a long time. I am going to ask him for tips.

you don't ask people who demonstrate bad judgement for advice... they are usually clueless anyway and even where they have some knowledge it's probably not best practices.

A few days ago before i saw the way he rides he said that we should go riding sometime. I of course agreed. But after the show today I think I am going to decilne if he ever asks.

Just because you ride with him does not mean you have to ride like him. Take a video camera and see if you can get some decent footage of a crash.
