Getting my feet wet in the forums!

Just wanted to get my feet wet and this seemed like a good place to start.
Have ridden motorcycles on and off since I was 16 (48 now) Always Enduro style up until about 10 years ago when I inherited my husbands 750 Yamaha Special. well had a lot of problems with it and it was too tall for me so I sold it. Well this spring I got a new job about 50 k's from home and driving back & forthwas going to be expensive so I figured that I could afford payments and gas and come out ahead.
Well I was originally looking at a 250 - 400 cc size but when I went to the dealership I was drawn to a larger bike. The salesman talked me into a larger bike due to the fact that I would be driving a lot of highway miles and would feel a lot more comfortable on a larger, heavier bike. Glad I listened to him because now I am the proud owner of a Honda Shadow VT750 and I will never go back to small bike. I am loving it!!
