how do you get pavement tar out of leather?

get leather cleaner and scrub, scrub, scrub.
if that doesn't work there isn't much you can do.
for simple bug removal a damp sponge works just fine.

Stick the jacket in the freezer, the tar will become brittle and it'll come right off. Don't look at me like that
