Heard on a Sirius radio station that Metallica is using Rick Rubin (sp?) as their new producer!
HELL YES!! I think BOB ROCK is the devil and do not know why it took them this long to get rid of him.
I know many of you post -...And Justice For All fans love Load and ReLoad but those albums make me weep. Yes, weep.
I am encouraged that Metallica may become what they once were. I am hoping for just a riff of their former selves.
Just get Jason Newstead back. Though would like to hear what he and Tommy Lee will do from this Rockstar: Supernova thing.
Anybody check out SuperGroup on VH1?

I'm focusing more on creating my own sound with my Ibanez. Too bad I can't single out the type of genre I want to go after.

How convenient that Bob Rock is there to take the fall for the band trying something more mainstream

Of course the band had NOTHING to do with it....

I love that. Yeah, the big bad band couldn't stand up against the evil company. If you signed the contract, you blew it. I don't feel bad for bands or artists. I know bands that did not do what the "company" said and they are some of my favorite bands.

I own just about every Metallica video out there and just watching Bob Rock is what makes me hate him.
He told everyone that Kirk Hammet was a guitarist who hasn't done his homework while trying to nail the guitar solo on The Unforgiven.
Then on that therapy boo-hoo movie, he said that Newstead was pretty much never a part of the band. That after Cliff Burton, there will never be another "fourth" member of the band. What kind of "poo poo" is that?

I got to see them a couple years ago in concert (touring with Godsmack), and it was pretty good, but they kept playing stuff from St. Anger, which sucked. Kirk Hammet is a good guitarist, I don't especially like the new basist, but I don't have anything against him. But Lars and James have always carried that band.
