Squeaky boots

Hi All,
Not sure on the best forum for this question so apologies in advance.

I do my daily commute in a pair of Alpine stars boots which squeak hideously when I'm walking up to the office. I usually get a dozen or so comments every morning between the car park and my desk of 'sounds like you need oiling'. So I think I need some advice. How do I shut the boots up!? Does anybody have any suggestions or advice on keeping the boots volume down?

Thanks in advance.

I would check with a shoe repair shop. Seems like I heard of something they can do to fix it.
Haven't heard from you for a while--how's Jane? :)

I seem to have the same malady. Is it the sole of your boot that squeks or the leather rubbing together. Mine is the latter but I cant make it stop.

I think it's the combination of plastic and leather rubbing, mainly around the ankle area.

And Jane fine.

I have some hiking boots like that, tried silicone and talcum, which help but you have to keep applying.

I will give both a try. Thanks for the advice.

a freind of mine had the same problem. He used a little chain lube, and it worked great. I never heard them squeek again
