Birds eye view of great twisties

Last week I was doing some backcountry flying in Idaho, when I realized I was flying over my favorite piece of twisty real estate. U.S. 12 between Missoula, MT and Lewiston, ID. Many of you may have seen the famous sign at the beginning that warns of sharp curves for the next 77 miles. Well, here's about 40 miles of it from 9,500 ft. The road is along side the river at the bottom of the canyon. Note that it just keeps on going and going. It's a damn shame that I can't fit my bike in the plane

nice!
if you could fit your bike on the plane, you should do a halo drop w/ it.

Cool man. That is like a dream. What do you fly?
I live near DC, so the only "twisties" I see are the two beltways around DC and Baltimore.

I love that stretch of road....and also the road north of Lewiston. Idaho is one of my favorite places to ride. Nice pic.

The plane currently goes for about $50K (I paid $25K originally, 12 yrs. ago), add another $5-10K/ yr. on gas, oil and maintenance. It's not a cheap hobby, but like motorcycles, once you're hooked, there's not much you can do but open the wallet.
It's parked at a local airport. Chandler Municipal in Chandler, AZ.
