I would raise the deductible because this will lower your monthly premium.

If you get into an accident, more than likely your bike will get totalled. If it is someone else's fault, then the deductible will be paid by the other party. If it is your fault and you want the bike repaired then you have to pay the deductible, and the Insuarance company will foot the rest of the bill. If it is only small repairs, you could probably pay the bill yourself and not even involve the insuarance company.

Hey guys well I'm 26 and have a clean record for the past three years . Only thing against me is I'm a new rider and have only completed the MSF course.

here's the link for the insurance company

I was doing some research online last night with Progressive.com on various different bikes and boy was I suprised.

My wife and I were looking at getting a couple of 06 Ninja 250s to start out on and the quote I received was 808.00/per year for both bikes.

Now if I step up to a couple of 06 Honda Shadow Aero 750s, my insurance will drop to 390.00 / year for both bikes.

I have been calling a couple of people from cycletrader.com that had bikes for sale in my area and never recieved one call back, so I am guessing the bikes are gone as soon as they are posted. I did do a quote on a really nice 03 Shadow Aero that I found and for a single bike with my wife and I both listed as insured drivers and it came back as 140.00 / year.

The way things are going around here, used bikes are going so quick it is really hard to come across a decent deal so we might as well buy new than used.

Come to find out, we get more of a discount, 15% for owning a house, than we get for completeing the MSF class, 10%. Will never understand that one.

Btw, I am in SE Virginia, if anyone one was wondering.

Hope to be riding one of these days, if i can ever be quick enough to get my hands on something.
