so i called up my mechanic about suspension setup for my bike since i have adjustable suspension.

he told me that there's gonna be a race on willow springs this sunday and it's only something like $15 for a ticket to watch it. it's probably an amateur race but it's still gonna fun to see since it's where people start racing mostly.

anyway... he also said the suspension technicians will be there and they can work on suspension for something around $20.

he said they make you sit on the bike, then they make measurements and adjust it to fit you.

this is soooooooooooo cool, im sure once i get it done... my bike will ride better since it's gonna setup specifically for me.

so all you guys w/ adjustable suspensions. i suugest you hit some suspension techs at the tracks or wherever. im sur you'll even like your bike even more compared to the stock settings. i know i will.

:D

this is actually pretty common and one of the things the lead instructor at my motorcycle school recommends everyone do after they get a new bike

yeah, they should tell you that or a good salesperson should...especially if they can get a kickback from the suspension tech :)

it should make for better riding all around

Have you read the owners manual? Mine tells me how to set the suspension on my bike. Its very simple and the tools to do it are under the seat. You dont have to go to the race track to set it properly, but it sounds like fun.

actually there is more to it than just setting the preload, but that should be done obviously heh.

Hey, Verm, for $20.00 I'll set your suspension up for ya, air up your tires, and even take it to the gas station and top 'er off. These are the things a poor, starving racer-wannabe needs to know how to do on his/her own since you can't afford a pit crew.

but Zoo, will you pay for his gas and buy him drinks and food? that's the sign of a true friend

yeah, they have to do measurements while im sitting on the bike.

i dunno what measurements they're gonna do though.

it's not hard to adjust i bet, but getting the right setup is what i want.

are you qualified?

if yes, then i'll go to you only if you live around here. :D

and maybe you could school me around some twisties while were at it.

these guys are pros, so i'd like them to set it up for me, besides, $20 is cheap for a suspension setup from pros.

plus, it's gonna be fun watching the race.
