Hello All!

Got a newbie question for you. My motorcycle battery is dead. Can I jump start it with my car/truck battery? If so, is there anything special I need to know and or do? Just dont want to do any damage to the electrical on either. I am not a pro so a step by step would be great if you can!!!! Thanks in advance!

If voltage is the same and the bikes battery is not 100% or near dead, then yes.

Be sure to properly ground the motorcycle and don't try to charge it off the car battery. Just use it to demo the bike if selling it or drive to a battery dealer.

BTW- There is no difference between a OEM battery and one from a Farm and Fleet. Whether from China or USA, both are good. For those that care, it's the number of plates in each cell that is of most importance, not design of plate or name on case... Design of plate would be #2 on the list.

Don't have your car running- lots of power going to the bike. Don't leave the cables on after you start (bike r/r doesn't like giving power to a car battery)
