Its been 20 years sense my last ride Im 45 and still very able to ride I found this bike and its really my style of bike but I don't know much about it and I cant find a picture of anyone standing next to it to see the size of the bike
Im 6 foot tall and I need a fair size motorcycle to be on It dose say 3 feet 5 inch's tall i now thats to the top of the head light but I was thinking of raising the set 5 inch's and putting lowered foot plates to replace the foot pegs.
Can anyone tell me about there experience with there CJ-750
here is a pic and the web site there from china and there reproductions of the German WWII motorcycle.

I own an Ural Tourist, which is the Russian copy of the WWII BMW R71. The CJ is the Chinese version of the same thing, but it hasn't kept up with the modifications and upgrades like the Ural has. If you're serious about getting a CJ you really should join the Yahoo Groups forum that's dedicated to them. These boys will be able to answer all of your questions... and I'll tell you upfront you're not going to like some of the answers:

Being a tall boxer rider myself, I can safely say that at your height you'll be quite comfortable on a CJ, Ural, or BMW. They're pretty comfy for a 6 footer, less so for the shorties amongst us. Modding the seat/peg height is cake if you need an extra inch or two.
What Gummiente said is correct, the CJs are very old tech and probably not as reliable as a Ural, or even a vintage BMW boxer like the R69. Those brakes were probably adequate back in the day, but I wouldn't want to rely on them in today's traffic. If you're seriously considering a hack rig with a vintage look you owe it to yourself to check out the Urals.
