I passed.

Yay!

We did the double U turns about 8 time throughout the day. I nailed it twice: the first time and the skills eval. Woo ;)

It was damn hot both days though. 90+ degrees, 80%+ humidity, not a cloud in the sky. That's tough when standing around in jeans, boots, helmets, and gloves for the majority of the day.

Now I have to wait 4-6 weeks for the DMV to process the paperwork and grant my road test waiver. I could say screw it and just schedule a road test, but there are no slots open for another 4 weeks so I won't even bother.

I want to go riding now :(

I do, but I don't know any licensed riders. In NY, you need to be in the presence of a licensed rider when riding with a permit.

LOL, I'd glance down at my speedometer, then look up and see your taillight disappearing in a puff of smoke half a mile down the road. My poor Virago would be in 4th gear before you switched up to second.

well yeah, that's why i'll make you lead so you control the pace.

but anyway... you need to find riding buddies soon. it gets boring riding alone after a while. try looking up a local bikers forum.

whats this time delay for processing the waiver? I took my BRC graduation receipt into the DPS office, took my written test on the computer(perfect score btw) and got my temp license(the paper copy which means I can legally ride) My new plastic license should be here in a couple weeks.

Yall have some sort of delay? weird...

Dudes, why such a long delay to get the license?

I passed the MSF course on Friday at 1:30pm. Got to the DMV at 2:15pm. Took the computer test at 3pm and had my license with Motorcycle endorsement at 3:10pm the same day. I thought our DMV sucked, guess it isn't that bad...

It's an intentional "waiting period" to prevent people rushing out the same day and getting their license then hitting the highway. Same thought behind making you wait when buying a gun.

with the price of gas i think it costs more to load a Bike than it does a gun almost

gratz on passing the rider's course, and don't let the wait get to you :)
