Does anybody here use these? Can they recommend them? I've tried one on and its comfortable enough, but as they are made of cordura type nylon I'm wondering how sweaty you get in them when stood still

I'm guessing they are great when on the move, or maybe not?

I love mine! It can get hot at a standstill but its still better than leather. I can run with my jacket in 100 degree weather and not break a sweat at highway speeds.

I have one and for me, it's alot cooler than having the sun beating directly on you. The wind rushes right through the mesh. With that said, it's the first thing I take off at rest stops...

I use the Tourmaster Intake Jacket and it feels great while moving...and not horribly hot when sitting still at a light. Like Sweet Tooth mentioned, it actually does help keep the sun off of you, so it almost balances out having long sleeves. I only get slightly sweaty where the CE armor covers the body (i.e. elbow, shoulders and back). Somebody mentioned wearing a wet t-shirt underneath, but I haven't tried that yet...

You live in the UK, when does it get that hot to use one?
Seriously anyone who sells Joe Rocket or any other big brand sells good mesh. I don't get very sweaty with it at a stand still too often (only 90F and over) but at night or in rain your gonna need the liner it comes with esp. when doing highway speed.
I have the Phoenix 2.0 and it's was pretty cheap $$$. as i've said many times it looks like a mech suit.

I've got a 3 piece Cortech GX-Air. In my opinion, it's great. It has the armoured outer mesh, removable rain liner and removable thermal liner. I was trying to link to it for you but, the work computers are S-L-O-W!!! *lol* If you look in my blog, I believe there's a link to the gear I wear.

We are having an absolute heatwave at the moment! 40/50C + easily in the sun. No fun when out and about during the day.
I'm after this one:

my perforated leather jacket is almost as comfortable as mesh and offers better protection.
