This seems to work as a chat room. just differing time zones/ schedules make the whole concept pretty hard.
I try to kill virtual people in games before chatting since I'm angry a lot lately.

I'm always idling, but I work a lot (Army, go figure). There was decent conversation earlier - if you don't stick around, you'll never know when people talk.
