I need some help removing the throttle cables from the throttle sleeve. No, I don't have a repair manual and no none are available in English. I have loosened the top nut there on the front cable, but don't have enough cable loosened. Do I need to loosen the nuts on the carb end of the cables?

Any help would be appreciated. The sooner I get them out and rerouted the sooner I can get riding.

You will probably have to loosen or remove the cable ends from the carb. once you've done that, you should be able to rotate the throttle grip in order to get enough slack to remove the keeper end from the throttle assembly. pull the cable out of the housing and reroute.

Alternately, you can disconnect the throttle cables from the carb, then pull the throttle cables, sleeve and all, out of their current path and reroute to the desired place.

Ok, I'll loosen them from the carb end. The nuts on that end were snug tight and I am afraid to break the bracket the cables sit in (don't have two hands to support the cable while turning the other wrench).

If need be, just remove the bracket from the carb that the cable adjuster nuts are attached to.

On my bike this requires the removal of a single screw, and I can then easily disconnect both cables from the carb without having to mess with the cable adjuster nuts.

depending on how your throttle cables are routed, you might then be able to take the throttle cables out of their current path, bracket and all, then reroute that way. No real disassembly of the throttle assembly required.

Got 'em disconnected I tried unscrewing the little screws on there holding the bracket (there were 2), one came out great, the 2nd, well, let's just hope I don't need to ever take it off. So my only option was to go for the lock nut there on the cable at the carb end. I was able loosen the cable enough to get out the first cable, then twisted the throttle to get out the second.

Now, I must look at pictures and put them back into the correct hole
