One peice leather suits

Howdy,
I'm looking at getting a new one peice suit as my current suit is looking a bit tatty after my crash last year. When I crashed the pointless keprotec stretch panel above the knee gave out and left me with a tiny spot of painful road rash so my next suit will not have that keprotec panel.
I was in my local bike clothing store at the weekend looking at the suits and every one of the 100+ suits they had in stock all had the rubbery strech panel above the knees. Is it so hard to get a decent suit without this unnecessary compromise to safety?
Can someone recomend a suit that has leather instead of rubber above the knees?
I did find one with leather knees but £200 for a leather suit that you can only purchase via the web didn't inspire me. I want to be able to inspect the suit before I buy.
Any thoughts??
