I can't get the master cylinder releace pressure, when I pull the break lever air is being pushed out of the break line, then when i releace the lever the air just gets sucked back in.

I took the plastic break fluid reserve off and cleaned both of the holes as best as i could, the hole on the right is cleared by the cylinder when the break lever is pushed in, but the left hole is always shut. are there two cylinders in breaking system (the second springing off the first) and one is stuck?

First off, it's BRAKE and RELEASE...

What are you trying to do, bleed the BRAKES?

the bike has been sitting for 20 years and the brake fluid reserve was empty and full of deposits. I think one of the master cylinders is stuck.
