The ZZR250 is similar to the Ninja250. It is good starter bike as well.

Well I have one (a 2006) and I enjoy riding it. There are a lot of Ninja 250 riders on this forum and if they will pipe up, I'm sure they will tell you the same thing.

I've used it for both city riding and highway (the longest one time ride being around 380 km one way) and cannot complain. It kept up with the other bikes/riders and this bike performs. It's been great as a starter bike and quite forgiving of anything that could've been a disaster for me on a more powerful bike. I fully endorse it!
Ya right, there are only 2 kinds of bikes: It's a Ninja... look that one's a Harley... oh there's a Ninja... Harley...Ninja...

ZZR is the canadian version of the EX250 since around 2000 if i remember correctly. a great starter's bike and i don't think there is really anything that compares to it in looks and price in the north american market. they also hold their value really well when/if you ever want to sell or trade it in.

If you post your question in either Total MC Talk or the Beginner section, you should get a lot of responses about the Ninja 250. Also, maybe do a search in the forum for 250 starter bike threads to get more info in general on starter bikes.

Or maybe a moderator will move your post? If that doesn't work right away, send a PM to TotalMotorcyle Mike - the forum administrator and he could move your post.

I'll move it... Only because it's not specific to being a Lady Rider. You'll get a few more responses in the general forums. Good luck!!

Cheers,

the ZZR250 or EX250 (collectively refered to as the ninja 250) are great starter bikes. there really isn't anything that looks quite like it until you move up to the 500cc bikes (in north america at least).

as for fun, all bikes are fun so that's kind of subjective to the rider.
as for cheap, the ninja isn't really "cheap" since brand new, they are about 5500 canadian (about 1000 more than say the Rebel 250).

used you could find one that is a few years old for around 3000 if you hunt for a while. the good thing about these bikes if you own one, is that they hold their value really well...as a buyer, this makes them a bit pricey sometimes. The reason for the high value on these is that they make excellent starter bikes.

other bikes to look at if you are not restricted to 250 or less CCs by license requirements and you like that more sporty style would include the EX500 or the GS500.
