back in the saddle again

hello everyone........i was an avid rider many years ago (20) but stopped riding shortly before getting married. well after a long time without a bike i just bought a new 2006 Suzuki DR200. it took a little while to get used to riding again and i was suprised at how my wrists hurt at first. my balance is quickly improving and i am working at sharping my old skills. i have only had my bike for 2 weeks but have since taken off the stock tires and replaced them with a set of Dunlop D606 DOT knobbies and replaced the counter shaft sprocket with one 2 teeth lower. i am short at only 5'2" so i just sent my seat to a place in PA (butt buffer) to cut the foam down as much as possiable in hopes of getting my feet firmly planted on the ground. i still need to install a set of bark busters and get myself some desent riding gear (chest protector, MX boots etc.) but i am having a great time with my new bike. some of the old trails i used to ride on are still there and i have meet several of the "new kids" who are now riding the trails i used to ride when i was younger. my daughter is now interested in riding so i picked up a second hand Honda XR80 and have been teaching her the basics of using a clutch and shifting. we are going out this weekend so she can get her own helmet so she won't have to use mine. i am enjoying riding again so much in the spring i plan on getting a Buell Blast. i hope i can become a valuable asset to this forum but i am sure i will ask many more questions then i am able to answer. i just thought i would say hello to everyone and tell you just how good it feels to be back in the saddle again.
