Do you ride in glitz mode or not?

Do you have any logo type equipment other than bike, if so what?

Do you ride in glitz mode or not?

#1 Unread post by flw »

I'm interested in if most serious riders go with glitz on or not? I mean items like but not limited to Harley jackets with the full logo on the back, Hat with logo etc...

It can be any logo or a mix of logo's.

Ink doesn't count only because you don't have the option of removing it for the ride or occassion. Same for permanent bike dressups with logo's

This is not a put down of anything, just a point of what most serious riders are doing in this fun hobby today.

I have a Triumph logo jacket, but it's not a riding jacket, LOL! Probably not something I would have bought for myself (I'm cheap), but my wife gave it to me as a Christmas present. But for riding gear, it's whatever fits, does the job, and is cheapest.

Now whether I count as a serious rider, I dunno..... what are the criteria?

Definately my POWER TRIP jacket! I bought it because I noticed it from across the room in the store. I figured if I could see it hopefully anybody could see it in a cage. I bought a seriously loud FF helmet from Scorpion called Geronimo for the same reason. A co-worker said she noticed the helmet on a biker coming to work but did not know it was me, so I guess it worked! :D

I ripped all the logos (e.g. shoulder patches, across the back, etc) off my Joe Rocket jacket and pants. The alpinestar boots still have the logo on the soles though.
Ride it like you think owning it matters.

I've always liked the concept of low profile, max power. aka "sleeper"

I can't be bothered to rip the logos off everything I own. I have a mixture of logos at any given time from Harley to Joe Rocket to Nitro to KBC and HJC.
I wouldn't mind if the logos were a bit smaller, though.

I have a 100th anniversary Harley, so I've put a limited edition 100th anniversary gold shield Harley patch on the back of my Meshtex jacket. It's not a full back HUGE patch tho... just an 11X4 set of wings down at the bottom.

Well, for one you should probably view motorcycling as something more intense than a "hobby". :D

7,200 miles on the Bonneville last year, and a few hundred more on assorted other bikes. Not impressive, but not pathetic either.
