The thing I like MOST about my HOG is....

The TORQUE!

BUT OK, I like most of the Poll options as well but this is the MOST thing you like about your Harley....c'mon, give it a go. 8)

If there are no options you like in the poll....you can just write in your own feelings about your machine.

:D

Interesting question... I'll answer it shortly. But what's with our forum, where's all the Harley riders??? I hope this isn't going to be just the Ozzy and Gummi section. :?

What I like most about my Harley isn't listed as one of your poll options, nor can it be narrowed down to one or two specific points..

What I like the most about my Harley is that it's a Harley.

Now, that's not a dig against any other brand out there, it's just a broad statement that best describes how I feel. I've owned, demo ridden and sat on many different bikes over the years and each one that I chose for my own best suited my needs, abilities, personality and budget at that particular point in time. I've had old British bikes, new British bikes, old japanese bikes and new japanese bikes and - other than my old Ukrainian bike and the new Russian bike - nothing has given me the pride of ownership like my Harleys have.

I like the fact that I can do all the maintenance myself, spending my hard earned dollars on little more than a few litres of oil, a filter and two spark plugs. I like how everything is out in the open and I don't have to remove bodywork, engine parts or other assemblies just to perform routine maintenance tasks.

I like the fact that almost wherever I rap my knuckles on the bike I get a satisfying ring tone of metal. I'm a renaissance man, plastic just doesn't do anything for me.

I like it when I can ride 11 hours from home, stop in at a Harley dealer at my destination and be greeted like I'm a member of the family even though it's the first time I've walked in their showroom. I like the security of knowing that wherever I end up at the end of the day, there's bound to be a Harley dealer within reach should I run into trouble with the bike.

I like browsing through countless catalogues looking at the almost unlimited accessories for my ride, there is SO much stuff out there for Harleys it's easy to make my bike different from all the rest. It strokes the ego every time I hear "nice bike!" from a passerby. And I hear it a lot on my fire red pearl Super Glide.

I like the mellow, deep, reassuring sound that only an air-cooled 45 degree V-twin can make. It is a sound that feeds the soul and brings a smile to my face every time I crack the throttle. It's a steady, smooth, calming noise that just washes away all the crap that accululated in my head during the day.

I like how the controls just "fit" me, everything within reach and exactly where its supposed to be. I like the solid, secure feeling I get whenever I throw a leg over the saddle. The bike is solid, planted, steady and confidence inspring at all speeds.

I like the security of the extended warranty - even though chances are very good I'll never need to use it. But if I do, I know it will be a no hassle, no argument event with the service rep and the bike will be fixed right the first time.

Yes, I know it has lots of parts from Japan, Korea, Taiwan and other countries. But you know what? I don't care. They all work.

Yes, I know you can buy something from Japan Inc for less money and get more performance. I still don't care. It's my money, I'll spend it my way.

Oh, and I like being able to say "Yes" every time I'm asked "Is that a Harley". That's just something only a Harley owner can understand.

Hey I had no idea this spot existed til I saw Gummi say something to someone else about it..so a little advertising certainly wouldn't hurt. :)

Thats the closest answer...its the wind and the road...cheesy answer either way...but I guess cliches get that way for a reason.

Hmmm... Mine has stock pipes, so it's not the sound. The torque is just fine, but doesn't jerk me off the seat... It's a FXD so it's mostly powder coated, with not a lot of chrome... I'm very married, so the women thing is out... It gives me more obligation than freedom, and it gives me a back ache when I ride it for more than a couple of hours.

I dunno... Why do I love my Harley?

I have to go along with what Gummi says. That pretty much sums up the experience of owning a Harley. I also have a big Zook, but other than the dealer I bought it from no other shop makes you feel like family the way a Harley shop does.

These two nailed it for me...bearing in mind I voted on the freedom aspect, consequently I would've ridden 11 hours to find that new HD Dealership

As for having a Harley to attract women, please whoever votes for this, tell your secret....as much fun as the bike is, a babe magnet it is not.
