msf practice link

#1 Unread post by cobaltbluechaser »

Hey all, the other night I stumbled across a link that led to a practice test for the msf. From what I understand as long as you pay attention you will pass the test easily but does anyone have the link to this practice test. thanx

the test is a...

1. figure 8
2. hard braking
3. cornering

the only tricky part is the figure 8. just remember, it's better to go outisde the box or put a foot down than to drop the bike. dropping the bike in the test means a auto failure, putting an foot down or going outiside the box is only pts reduction.

In Jersey there's a written test before you can get your learners' permit (which you must have before taking MSF.) If you can pass the learner's permit test, you can pass the MSF written test. It's pretty much the same material

its not a figure 8. a figure 8 your path will cross whereas the box is 2 u-turns where your paths do not cross. :D we also had to do a swerve but pfft thats like easy. The test is friggen easy. I think you can miss like 8 ?s or something like that but I only missed 2 and that was because I misread the ? on one and the other I had no clue lol.

I took the lerner's test in Maryland and it was simple. The entire test comes from this (long) pamphlet:

http://mva.state.md.us/Resources/DL-001.pdf

If you read through that, you should ace it!

The page takes a while to load so be patient, young padawan.

I can't help you with a link.

I read the book "Practical Motorcycling" and later was rather disappointed with the depth of the class comparatively.

Don't sweat the written MSF test, man. If you're awake, you'll pass.

The only things that *almost* tripped me up with the acronyms, and if you remember that to start your bike (as opposed to check it's condition before riding it) you'll need to check the choke/clutch, you'll likely get a perfect score.

Yeah the MSF written test is pretty easy alot of it is common sense and as long as you pay some attention in class you won't have any problems. It's easier than the DMV written test.
